ACPE Activity #0204-9999-19-303-L01-P
1.50 Contact Hours | Application-based
The purpose of this session is to evaluate the literature that led to the development of the current hypertension guidelines and how to apply these recommendations in practice, with a particular focus on the geriatric patient population. The presenters will provide a better understanding of the reasons behind the recommendations proposed in the latest hypertension guidelines while building confidence in practice through a case-based format. This will be accomplished by discussing the current hypertension guidelines including similarities and differences, the evidence that created the proposed recommendations, and example patient cases. New landmark trials published in the last year will also be discussed.
This activity is approved for Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP) and Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP) recertification credit.
