This workshop is designed for experienced leaders to develop leadership and business skills necessary for effectively influencing pharmacy services in health-systems, developing high-performance teams, and financial health in complex organizations. In this session, attendees will collaborate with other tenured leaders to work through issues impacting higher-level pharmacy positions. This will be accomplished through didactic lecture, real-life scenarios, and case study.
Participants should have at least five years of management experience and/or completed the ASHP Conference for Pharmacy Leaders Managers’ Bootcamp.
The 2019 Leadership Development for Experienced Pharmacy Managers Workshop will be held immediately before the 24th Annual ASHP Conference for Pharmacy Leaders.
Registration is required in order to attend. Participants do not have to be registered for the 24th Annual ASHP Conference for Pharmacy Leaders to attend the Leadership Development for Experienced Pharmacy Managers Workshop. Fees for attending the Leadership Development for Experienced Pharmacy Managers Workshop are $395 for ASHP members and $465 for non-members. Attendance will be limited to ensure optimal participant benefit, so register early in order to secure your spot.

The ASHP Leadership Development for Experienced Pharmacy Managers Workshop is designed for experienced pharmacy leaders to focus on, identify, and clarify their values and incorporate them with their personal aspirations. Additionally, the workshop will help sharpen leadership development skills necessary for success in leading complex organizations including coaching managers and executive presence as well as the challenges of navigating growing influence that comes with tenure and experience within an organization.
This year’s workshop will include an integrated theme involving the skills necessary to provide expertise in working with PBMs, payer relations, and system benchmarking.
