Drug-induced vascular damage is a relatively common event that lacks substantial and reproducible population causality information. For decades the only data was from animals, which does not directly correlate to human injury. In recent years human data on endothelial damage has become available, but failure to control for a number of variables has prevented data aggregation and validation of trends. This review looks at the current information and draws what conclusions can be supported.
