Power Hour Breakout
Patients with difficult intravenous access are growing in numbers. Inability to gain IV access delays treatment and diagnostic procedures, causes patients increased pain and trauma to vessels with multiple attempts and increases cost associated with supplies and lost time. Recent clinical research has applied innovative technology to enhance vein size and improve first-time success. In the group of difficult access patients, this improvement will save time and money while improving patient satisfaction. The methods and results of this research are presented in this program with an evaluation of the clinical implications of technology.
