Kacey began her career on a Step-Down Surgery/Trauma/Burn Unit at SUNY Upstate Medical University as a night shift charge nurse. After 5 years at SUNY, Kacey left to pursue travel nursing. She took on an assignment at Boston Children's Hospital with their Vascular Access Team where she is currently permanent staff. Now in her 8th year of nursing, she places Ultrasound Guided PIVs and PICC lines in all areas of the hospital. Kacey also works with new hires, unit staff, NICU NP’s and fellows in a preceptor-ship role as well as mentoring. Committed to vascular access research and vessel preservation, she is working to implement policy changes surrounding Difficult Intravenous Access and is the primary investigator for a research project on Ultrasound Guided PIVs. Kacey is also currently pursuing her Master's Degree.
