Dana Etzel-Hardman is a Registered Nurse with over 39 years of nursing experience which includes over 36 years in pediatric nursing and 3 years as a Value Analysis nurse at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Penn State University and Master degrees in both Business and Nursing from Waynesburg University. She is also Certified Pediatric Nurse. Dana has published in journals and textbooks on vascular access and pediatric sedation and distraction; and has presented those topics at national conferences. As a Value Analysis nurse, she helps to improve patient care while controlling costs and risks related to the purchase and use of products. She works closely with clinical staff evaluating the evidence and value of products introduced to the health system. She is currently a member of the PediSIG ELC.
