Lisa has been in vascular access for 8 years, 7 years in adult practice, her last year in pediatric vascular access, and has maintained her VA-BC for 4 years. Lisa is currently serving on the AVA D-Team as a PEDISIG liaison and the PEDISIG Executive Leadership Committee. She recently moved into quality and education on a system level within her organization. She developed the CLABSI reduction plan at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh that began in September 2018, and she was also the content expert and key contributor in another multi-hospital CLABSI reduction effort within her system. She respects the role of value analysis as the former lead of her system's Vascular Access Practice Committee team that serves to align practice across a 40-hospital system. Lisa has also taught as an adjunct medical-surgical nursing clinical instructor for a local university for 4 1/2 years.
