Sean Lau is a vascular access specialist in a Northern California hospital, where he has participated in clinical management and administrative coordination for the Vascular Access Services Team, infusion clinic and two medical-surgical units. Sean’s clinical background and administrative experience have focused on vascular access, with experience in patient care, clinical process improvement and policy change and implementation. Sean has bachelor’s degrees in nursing and physiology, is vascular access board certified, and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He has lectured at local, regional and national conferences on topics related to CLABSI prevention, VAD standards and guidelines, and ultrasound guided PIV insertion. Sean has chaired his hospital's Vascular Access Device Committee and is the current President elect at BAVAN, Bay Area Vascular Access Network.
