Have a full understanding of treating iron in the eastern United States. Focusing on the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast US.
Effective remediation of iron from water calls for several very important pieces of information. First, a complete and reliable water analysis with specific iron speciation and pH value. Second, accurate assessment of the hydraulic characteristics of the water source, i.e. flow at 30-40 psi and water temperature. Third, Specification of the proper equipment relative to the aforementioned details. Finally, thorough understanding of the chosen application and the required maintenance to ensure long-term, reliable performance with a balanced water treatment array compatible with the service plumbing demand of the residential or commercial customer. Discuss treatment options for Ferous Iron, Ferric Iron, Organic (bacterial) Iron, and Colloidal Iron. Understanding that there is no "universal" treatment process. The various methods of iron removal will be discussed including Oxidizing Media Filtration, Open Aerator, Closed Pressure Aerator, Liquid Chemical Dosing, Dry Chemical Pellet Feeder, and Ozone treatment.
