Surgical and/or interventional treatment of BPH is a part of our daily work. In this educational course most all aspects of transurethral approaches will be introduced and discussed. Every surgeon should have profound knowledge of the physics of various energy sources, no matter whether it is lasers, bipolar or monopolar current. After this first part, different techniques of tissue removal will be introduced: vaporization, resection, and enucleation. Perioperative precautions, immediate postoperative problems, and long-term results will be presented by speakers with vast experience in this field.
