This class will begin with some hand stretches, and build into a flow where students will learn to strengthen their hands and wrists in poses like plank and downward facing dog. This combination of stretching and strengthening is key for maintaining hand health for those who spend many hours hand sewing.
Instructor, Heidi Parkes, is certified in vinyasa flow yoga, and yoga therapy. Heidi is also an accomplished hand quilter, and has exhibited and/or taught quilting workshops at QuiltCon since 2016. This unique pairing of skills creates a yoga experience that is ideal for quilters.
Please bring your own mat. An audio recording will be emailed to students after the class for use in your home practice.
