Radiologist
North Florida Veterinary Radiology
Dr. Kathleen Gelatt-Nicholson, DVM, DACVR is a radiologist who founded North Florida Veterinary Radiology. She lives in the Morriston, Florida area and is mostly a private practioner for the Gainesville, Ocala and outlying areas. Dr. Gelatt-Nicholson has a bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of Florida. She received her DVM from North Carolina State University. After a year in private small animal practice in Orlando, she entered her radiology residency at the University of Florida. She became board certified in 1998. Dr. Gelatt-Nicholson spent about four years as a clinical radiologist at the University of Minnesota's College of Veterinary Medicine and then spent nearly five years working for a private radiologist group in the Cleveland-Akron area. She locumed at the University of Florida for two years to help maintain their radiology program and then decided to start her own private business. Dr. Gelatt-Nicholson has a teenage son and various pets, including three rescue dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family, going fishing, going to her son's baseball games and reading a good book.
