Dr. Roxane MacLellan is a board-certified veterinary dentist and a certified acupuncturist. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002 from the Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. MacLellan started her dentistry path as a resident with a specialty dentistry practice in Arizona. She went on to do post-doc in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery at Colorado State University and then stayed on as an assistant professor in dentistry and oral surgery at the veterinary teaching hospital for three years. She also was a clinical instructor at the University of Minnesota Veterinary teaching hospital. Dr. MacLellan’s research interests are on oral neoplasia and maxillectomy and mandibulectomy in dogs, and feline chronic gingivostomatitis. Dr. MacLellan has lectured to numerous veterinary students and veterinarians across the nation. She has volunteered with the Peter Emily International Veterinary Dental Foundation and has treated lions, tigers, bears and wolves. Dr. MacLellan is married and has three children, and she is currently a resident of Arizona. Dr. MacLellan's passion is to provide good quality medicine to pets and help educate others about the value of good oral care for pets. Dr. MacLellan is a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College. She is a member of the Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture, the Southern Arizona Veterinary Medical Association and the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association.
