After earning his DVM from Louisiana State University, Dr. Fletcher continued his education and training by completing a rotating internship at Auburn University and a small animal internal medicine residency at LSU. Following his residency, he spent a number of years in a private specialty hospital in New Orleans before returning to academia. Prior to joining MedVet as the Director of Post-graduate Medical Education, Dr. Fletcher was an Associate Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine and Director of the Veterinary Endocrinology Laboratory at Louisiana State University. His clinical and research interests include the prevention and management of small animal endocrine and metabolic diseases as well as diagnostic endocrine testing.
