Dr. Keith Hnilica graduated from the University of Tennessee CVM in 1993. After graduating, Dr. Hnilica completed a small animal internship and a residency in dermatology at Auburn University. He received his Master of Veterinary Medicine and became a board-certified member of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 1997. Dr. Hnilica completed the Lilly Teaching Fellowship at UGA in 2000 and obtained his MBA from UT in 2007. Dr. Hnilica was on faculty at the University of Georgia for three years, The University of Tennessee for eight years and is currently adjunct faculty at Lincoln Memorial University CVM. His research interests include the diagnosis and treatment of allergy and compliance optimization practice management. Dr. Hnilica has published many articles, is the creator of www.itchnot.com, and is the author of "Small Animal Dermatology: A Color Atlas and Therapeutic Guide" published by Elsevier with the fourth edition published 2017. In 2009, Dr. Hnilica opened The Itch Clinic in East Tennessee and has spent several years traveling the country providing lectures and in-clinic wet labs.
