7th Annual Gulf-Atlantic Veterinary Conference
Neuro-ophthalmology can be one of the most challenging aspects of practice. The complex wiring of the brain to the adnexa, extraocular muscles and the globe can be daunting. Many neuro-ophthalmology cases are presented sporadically which makes recalling the etiology even more challenging. In this lecture, we will discuss how to complete a proper neuro-ophthalmic exam, explore the common neuro-ophthalmology pathways and use this understanding to discuss a variety of neuro-ophthalmic diseases. By the end of the lecture, there should be a greater degree of confidence in recognizing what is wrong when these cases present and how to appropriately manage them.
