7th Annual Gulf-Atlantic Veterinary Conference
Employee engagement is best defined as employees who show up at their best. They are the staff members that are excited to start the day. They’re there before the shift starts, and they’re ready to greet the clients, perform morning treatments and walk the dogs. They are willing and able to deliver beyond expectations. Engaged employees enable your practice to outperform any other practice in town. Practices with highly engaged people are happier places to work, with less stress, more teamwork and a greater sense of fulfillment. Employee engagement has been studied extensively since the term was coined in 1990, and the results are exceptionally clear. Creating a team of fully engaged people in your veterinary practice will make it more successful.
