Open Space Session: Local Advocacy

Always wanted to know how to get more involved with local advocacy? Having a challenge locally that you need new ideas for? Crowd source it! In this casual setting, you'll exchange information and get feedback from your peers during this moderated open space session.

This open space session will focus on local advocacy and will be limited to 40 attendees.

Andy Teas, CAE

Andy Teas is Vice President of Public Affairs for the Houston Apartment Association, a non-profit trade association representing the owners and managers of over 600,000 apartment units in the Houston area. A native of Houston, Andy graduated from the University of Texas, and earned an M.P.A. from the L.B.J. School of Public Affairs. Before joining HAA, he worked as a legislative aide and committee clerk in the Texas Senate and House, and for the Congressional Liaison office of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington. He has also served as an instructor at Houston Community College since 1994, teaching government. He and his wife, Elaine, live in Katy, Texas, and have three boys, Robby, Paul and Sam.
