Fair Housing

Disparate Impact and Its Impact on You

Thursday, April 11
10:15 AM - 11:15 AM
Location: 371ABDE

HUD first adopted the rule on disparate impact about six years ago, adding liability in fair housing cases that may not have discriminatory intent but the practice has the effect of penalizing a protected class. HUD is considering revising its guidance on disparate impact, but in the meantime you're getting testing calls and complaints filed against you on the grounds of disparate impact. Attend this session to learn the latest about disparate impact and its impact on you.
