We could easily call this class, CSI:GP – but where and how your data moves throughout the GP tables is quite specific. Curious about what happens when you press that SAVE or POST button on your Dynamics GP screen? Uncover the facts of where your GP data goes and how to get it back out. Understand how your posting and posting setups affect how and when the data moves within GP. This course is open to any GP user, and is a required class for the PCAD and an elective class the PCAP and PCAR Programs.

This class is designed for a more comprehensive understanding for GP users and not a SQL dba training class. However, as time usually allows, we will have a period of time where we can show you some of the GP tables – which often helps you better understand how the data is stored. Formerly Understanding Transactions in Dynamics GP.

Learning Objectives:

Understand the basic flow and storage for Dynamics GP data.
Understand how the data between the various tables is managed by SQL and where the data is stored

Audience: GP Finance, Finance, IT Professional, GP Support, Business Analyst

Level: Intermediate

Prerequisites: Experience with GP data tables and Report Writer. Familiarity with report writer and SQL is a bonus.

Preparation: Please bring a Windows PC to class for the Academy training environment from VisiLearn called vConnect.
