This class is an introduction to SQL Reporting Services with Dynamics GP, to familiarize you with how SQL Reporting Services can be used with Dynamics GP. Overview of the integration between SSRS and Dynamics GP will be discussed, along with the security model. You will work with the available tools to determine the necessary Dynamics GP table and fields for reports. We will access and manage the standard Microsoft Dynamics GP SQL reports to illustrate the security concepts discussed. We will then spend time creating custom reports for Dynamics GP in SQL Report Builder 3.0, following instructor-led examples. We will focus on the core concepts involved in creating SQL reports with the Report Builder, including creating data sources, data sets, and queries. We will explore the functionality of the Report Builder regarding filters, report layout, grouping, and parameters. Different report types will be explored, including tables, matrices, and charts.
