Every Microsoft Dynamics Cloud product - including Finance and Operations, Business Central and Customer Engagement - uses Azure; however, the Azure components are managed by Microsoft. In order to benefit from all that Azure has to offer, you’ll need to set up your own subscription. This Academy class will walk through all you need to know to setup and manage a secure, reliable and cost conscious Azure environment. We will work on initial setup, such as subscription creation, RBAC access to resources, connectivity and security. From there we will define and deploy IaaS (VM), PaaS (database) and Services (LogicApps) resources, focusing on configuration options for performance and availability. Finally we will work with PowerShell and API integration for repeatability and automation.
A senior architect with OneNeck IT Solutions will guide you through interactive exercises while sharing best practices from their extensive implementation experience. Learn how to work with common Azure resources, such as virtual machines, virtual networks, network security groups and Azure databases. This is a must see for anyone interested in understanding the benefits of using Azure while avoiding the potential pitfalls that come with Public Cloud.

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of infrastructure components (compute, network) or databases
Computer requirements: Please bring your own internet capable Windows PC to class. Students should be able to access their own instance of an Azure subscription during the class.
Preparation: The labs will require an active Azure subscription. If a student does not have access to a subscription, a free trial can be created by following the instructions at: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/
NOTE: some resource are free for only 30 days and so the subscription should not be created more than 7 days in advance of the class.
