In recent years there has been a lack of focus on the principles of application development within the NAV/Business Central community. The irony is that development is the only activity that is guaranteed to be done when creating a new application. Requirements can be assumed rather than understood; architecture can be shortchanged rather than designed; and testing can be abbreviated or skipped rather than fully planned and executed. Whether it is a customization in C/AL, or an extension in AL, it has to be written.
In this four hour session we’ll discuss what it means to have code quality built in, as well as take a hands on approach to some practical methods around the following areas:
• Collaborative Application Construction
• Developer Testing
• Code Tuning Strategy and Techniques
Come prepared to participate, challenge your development assumptions, and learn how to build better applications.
Preparation: Please bring your own internet capable Windows PC to class for the hands on lab portion/class exercises.
