Whilst Power BI is considered to be the best self-serve reporting tool in the market, it is criticised for lack of governance. Many organisations seek the Nirvana of self-serve/enterprise reporting, but are left with an unstructured, poorly governed strategy.
Poor governance actually has nothing to do with Power BI. Yes, Power BI files do not play nicely with object driven source control providers however DevOps is not just about code automation.
The session focuses on a customer who wanted a process to create/edit/manage content – without the danger of un-validated reports being published into a Power BI production app workspace.
