As a sequel to our lively debate session at the 2018 Congress, our theme this year will be geared towards the younger engineer and the various ways firms are incorporating BIM workflow into design and engineering tasks. Debate topics include:
o Separating modeling from engineering
o How do you find new young drafters/modelers?
o Is drafting a dying trade?
o BIM is more than drafting – analysis, design, documentation, coord., operations
o BIM as Structural design tool
o BIM as deliverable – everyone on team has to be versed in models
