Clinical Research Training Fellow
Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research
Having studied medicine at the University of Oxford, i have completed 8 years of clinical training in General medicine and Cardiology in London and Oxford, I am now undertaking my doctorate studies at the Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research in Oxford. In the myocardial metabolism group led by Prof Oliver Rider, I study various aspects of coronary artery disease using an emerging technology known as hyperpolarised carbon-13 MR. Furthermore, I assess the impairment of myocardial energetics across a range of cardiomyopathies using 31P MRS. My wider clinical research interests include appropriate resource allocation within healthcare, and i also have an interest in mechanisms by which we can deliver resuscitation training to the public.
