Jason Gerson, PhD, is Senior Program Officer for the Clinical Effectiveness and Decision Science program at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). He is responsible for providing intellectual and organizational leadership in designing and implementing new CER methods initiatives (including funding opportunities for bioethics research), evaluating proposals, and monitoring programs and contracts. He also leads some of PCORI’s human subjects protections activities and open science initiatives. Prior to joining PCORI, Dr. Gerson worked at the Pew Charitable Trusts, the FDA, and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Gerson received an AB in bioethics from Brown University and PhD in health policy from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
