Research Ethics and Compliance Officer
Army Human Research Protections Office (AHRPO)
Megan McFarland, MS, CIP, CCRP currently serves as a Research Ethics and Compliance Officer in the Army Human Research Protections Office (AHRPO), Office of the Surgeon General, US Department of Army. Megan is responsible for providing Component level oversight of Army institutions conducting or supporting human subjects research. Megan has also served as a subject matter expert contractor to the Air Force Research Oversight and Compliance Division and the National Institute of Mental Health Office of Clinical Research. Prior to moving to the National Capital Region, she worked at the University of Georgia as an IRB coordinator and IRB voting member.
Megan received her M.S. in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi where she was trained in behavioral health research and assessment.
