Theresa J. Colecchia is Senior Associate General Counsel and Practice Group Leader for Healthcare and Research at Johns Hopkins University. Prior to joining the Office of the General Counsel at Johns Hopkins, she was Senior Associate General Counsel-Health Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. She previously worked as an Associate General Counsel at Allegheny Energy, as an associate at the firm of K&L Gates, and as a clerk for the Hon. Richard L. Nygaard of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989 and her B.S. in Applied Mathematics, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh in 1986. Ms. Colecchia serves on the Committee on Continuing Legal Education Programs for the National Association of College and University Attorneys, and has served as the Working Group Leader for the Research and Intellectual Property section for the NACUA annual meeting.
