IRB Reliance Administrator

Meghan Pronovost (MS) serves as the IRB Reliance Administrator for the Harvard University-Area (HUA) IRB, acting as Harvard’s liaison to IRB’s at other institutions. She also reviews submissions from schools within the Harvard University-Area, with a special focus on research from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Human Evolutionary Biology, Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, and Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology.
Prior to beginning her career in IRB Administration, Meghan gained experience in both clinical care and research as an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist. She served as the Testing and Validation Coordinator for a Cambridge-based startup company developing health and fitness wearable devices. Prior to that, she conducted research at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH), measuring the effectiveness of using electrical stimulation in conjunction with exercise training in individuals with Spinal Cord Injuries. She has also worked as the Exercise Physiologist for Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s (BWH) Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program and SRH’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. Meghan received her B.S. from Colorado State University and her M.S. from Wake Forest University, both in Health and Exercise Science.
