Medical Doctor from Colombia (South America) and Master’s in Public Health from T.H Chan Harvard School of Public Health. Currently she is the Associate Director of Research Integrity in Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and she holds academic appointments at the FAU Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine and Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing. Dr. Levy has applied her medical background and research training from Fogarty International Center in providing leadership and guidance in the development and oversight of research compliance programs related to responsible conduct of research, protection of human subjects, financial conflict of interest and social responsibility. Ximena’s mission is to promote the collaboration with the university administrative and academic departments to ensure shared understanding and development of institutional practices related to research compliance. Through her current role at FAU, she promotes ethical conduct of research in students and faculty, assuring that research is conducted in accordance with University, local, state and federal regulations and guidelines. In addition, she is a mentor to new faculty, doctorate students and undergraduate students in study design of health services and outcomes research.
