Ariella Kelman, MD is the Global Head of Bioethics at Genentech, a member of the Roche Group.
She is a physician and drug developer. At Genentech, she has led clinical development programs for several new medicines for adults and children with inflammatory autoimmune diseases. She served for 12 years as an attending physician in the Division of Immunology and Rheumatology at Stanford University School of Medicine.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology from UCLA and received her Medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine New York State/American program at Tel Aviv University in Israel. She did her Residency in Internal Medicine at Kaiser Hospitals in Los Angeles and Santa Clara and Fellowship in Rheumatology at Stanford University. She holds a Professional Certificate in Bioethics from Columbia University in New York.
