Jeri Burr, MS, RN-BC, CCRC, FACRP
Ms. Burr is the Executive Director of the Trial Innovation Center at the University of Utah. A board-certified Pediatric RN, she is a clinical research management professional with nearly four decades of clinical and research experience. Having broad regulatory and trial management experience, she has coordinated and directed large industry-sponsored and NIH multicenter clinical trials. Her experience also includes training, mentoring and motivation of clinical research operations teams.
Ms. Burr is a recognized leader in pediatric clinical research. She serves (10 years) on the University of Utah's Institutional Review Board (IRB) as a pediatric board reviewer. Prior to implementation of the NIH Single IRB Policy, Ms. Burr led the effort to get a single IRB established in an NIH funded pediatric critical care research network. In the Trial Innovation Network, she is the Project Lead on the sIRB Working Group, working to implement the sIRB process in academic centers nationwide. Development of the sIRB coordination role has been a priority of hers to reduce workloads for study teams and coordinating centers. Ms. Burr was recently named an ACRP Fellow. The ACRP Fellowship program recognizes those who have made substantial contributions to the Association and the industry at large.
