Wearable technology has great potential to expand healthcare quality, ease data collection, and improve personal wellness. However, wearable technology also raises significant privacy and security challenges. Mobile-sensor data provides researchers unprecedented opportunities to collect objective data without patients' awareness. For instance, GPS data provides geo-exposure risk, movement patterns, and activity levels, among other data, which may disclose privacy information about the user.
