THIS IS A SATELLITE SYMPOSIUM
This symposium will emphasize treatment of severe bleeding in anticoagulated patients in the Emergency Department and Critical Care environments. This is the 2nd hour of a 2-hour symposium. This hour includes four (4) ten (10) minute presentations followed by a 20-minute panel discussion and Q & A with attendees. Lunch is provided.

Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to:

• Indications for oral anticoagulation in patients with DVT/PE and atrial fibrillation/ischemic stroke
• Management of intracranial and intraspinal bleeding
• Treatment of severe gastrointestinal and mucosal bleeding
• Management of the trauma patient and the preparation of the trauma and surgical patient for the operating room.
