It has become more difficult to keep up on all the literature and best practices in every field of medicine. We all know that kids “aren’t just small adults.” The goal of this didactic is to review the potentially practice changing articles in pediatric emergency medicine and stimulate discussion about what each means for our practice. The literature will be appraised and presented by a panel of pediatric emergency medicine experts, the reason for inclusion of the articles will be discussed, and the attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions relevant to their clinical practice. The goal is to broadly review the pediatric emergency medicine literature for 2018 and stimulate discussion and interest in the top articles in the field. Ultimately this practice-changing knowledge can be used by the participants to motivate innovation and application of what is learned at their home institutions.
