Dr. Listy Thomas, MD FACEP obtained her undergraduate degree from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology. She studied medicine at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. She then went on to pursue a dual training residency program in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, now a part of the Northwell Health System. After residency, she obtained board certifications in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, and has practiced at St Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT since 2008. She was Academic Director of the Emergency Department from 2012-2014 and managed GME responsibilities of Internal Medicine and Family Practice Residents rotating through the ED and was the founding EM clerkship director for The Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University when it opened in 2013. She transitioned to a faculty position with Netter School of Medicine in 2014, was promoted to Associate Professor, and became the Assistant Director of the Clinical Arts and Sciences Course, where she was responsible for curricular development and implementation of a robust clinical skills program for undergraduate medical students. Dr. Thomas also serves as a career advisor for graduating medical students, writing the MSPE's and mentoring students towards their future career goals. She has received her Medical Education Research Certification from the AAMC, and she has presented at various medical education conferences regionally and nationally.
