State of the Art
Uncontrolled hypertension contributes to dramatic disparities in cardiovascular health among patients that we routinely care for. As emergency medicine engages with health systems to improve public health, there is a growing need for emergency researchers to tackle these problems. In this panel discussion, leaders in hypertension and emergency research will discuss exciting opportunities for innovative epidemiological, diagnostic, and interventional studies. They will also discuss research on patient adherence, system-based solutions, and shared decision making to address the important public health problem of uncontrolled hypertension within the populations we serve. Speakers will field questions from the audience and moderator in exploring state of the art updates and investigative areas.
