Dr. Beth Han is with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She is a recipient of the American Public Health Association's James G. Zimmer New Investigator Award. Dr. Han is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America and served as an editorial board member of The Geronotologist. She has over 110 publications, covering a variety of topics, such as geriatric medicine, long-term care, hospice care, addiction, substance use treatment, suicide prevention, mental illnesses, mental health care, and co-occurring disorders and related treatments. Her articles have been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Annals of Internal Medicine, Lancet Psychiatry, American Journal of Psychiatry, Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction, Health Affairs, American Journal of Public Health, Medical Care, Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, The Gerontologist, and many other journals, books, and government reports.
