CAPT Jennifer Fan is a Pharmacist at the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). She is CSAP’s Subject Matter Expert on Prescription Drug and Opioid Use Disorders and is the Drug Free Communities-ONDCP Liaison. Previously, CAPT Fan helped oversee the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Program in the Division of Workplace Programs and was a Public Health Advisor in SAMHSA’s Division of Pharmacologic Therapies in the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) overseeing the NASPER grants for prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs) and SAMHSA’s Prescriber Education Courses as well as opioid treatment program compliance. Previous assignments also include FDA’s Office of Generic Drugs; Office of Drug Safety; and the Division of Drug Marketing, Advertising, and Communications as well as CMS’ Part B Reimbursement. CAPT Fan received her PharmD from the University of Maryland and her JD from the University of Baltimore.
