Dr. Hayashi is a Vice President at JBS with 20 years of experience addressing opioid issues. She has expertise in research and evaluation, medical education, and communication targeting medical professionals regarding prescription medication misuse, overdose, safe prescribing, and MAT. She was a contributing author for a 2017 Journal of Addiction Medicine article and new federal guidelines on pregnant and parenting opioid-dependent women and their children. Since 2005, she has directed the National Institute on Drug Abuse’s (NIDA’s) physician outreach efforts, facilitating collaboration with NIDA and physician professional societies including the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Physicians, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
