Kate Jackson, MPH, serves as Director of the Office of the Maryland Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) and Overdose Prevention Applied Data Programs, housed within the Maryland Department of Health. Under her leadership, the Maryland PDMP has expanded its reach and functionality to meet the evolving needs of clinical, investigative, and public health stakeholders combating the opioid crisis. She has more than 10 years of professional experience in health program administration, clinical trials, and database management. She received a BA in Biological Sciences from Mount Holyoke College and a Master's in Public Health, concentrating in Health Law, Bioethics and Human Rights, from the Boston University, School of Public Health. She wrote her master's thesis on legal and ethical considerations around PDMPs.
