Marc Gonzalez received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California, School of Pharmacy. As President of the Professional Diversion Intelligence Network, he provides expert testimony on all drug relatedmatters including signs and symptoms of illicit drug use, appropriate prescribing, and drug facilitated sexual assault. As a Department of Defense Consultant, he trains military and law enforcement. He currently is the lead instructor for the Department of Defense’s Counter Drug Training Academies at their resident military bases throughout the World. Gonzalez’ other roles include serving as the Board President of Safe Call Now® — a confidential, comprehensive, 24-hour crisis referral service for all public safety employees, all emergency services personnel and their family members nationwide — and as the National Associate Training and Education Coordinator for NADDI. He is a certified instructor of Defensive techniques, holding the rank of Black belt in three different styles of martial arts. Gonzalez is a retired peace officer from the State of California, where he supervised investigations involving violations of state and federal laws and regulations relating to medical practitioners and allied health professionals. He was California's Lead Defensive Tactics Instructor and developed a complete course of POST Certified techniques and escapes. He is a former California Board of Pharmacy Inspector. In the academic setting, Gonzalez worked as a Clinical Instructor of Pharmacy at the USC School of Pharmacy. He was on the U.S. Attorney General's Speakers Bureau for the DOJ and DEA to present topics on pharmaceutical diversion.
