Randa Deaton is Corporate Director of the UAW/Ford Community Healthcare Initiative in Louisville, Kentucky and Co-Executive Director of the Kentuckiana Health Collaborative (KHC). She has over 20 years of experience leading organizational change and development within human resources and healthcare benefits at Ford Motor Company. In her current role, she is responsible for building, leading, collaborating, and aligning multiple key healthcare stakeholders to drive innovative, systemic improvements to health status and healthcare delivery.
She was an early builder of the KHC, a non-profit coalition committed to leading multi-stakeholder and employer-led initiatives that drive the triple aim goals of better health, better care, and better value. She is responsible for oversight, strategic planning, and convening of key healthcare leaders. Most notably, Randa led the development and implementation of Kentucky and Southern Indiana’s only multi-payer annual quality reports to providers and consumers and oversaw the recent development of Kentucky's Core Healthcare Measures Set. She has written and managed multiple grants dedicated to improving community health on topics including chronic disease management, healthcare transformation, data transparency, worksite wellness, diabetes management, colorectal cancer screening, youth mental health, and opioid use disorder.
Randa serves on the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions Board of Directors, University of Louisville’s School of Public Health and Information Sciences Advisory Board, and Norton Healthcare’s Patient Advisory Board as a caregiver representative. In 2017, she received the Commitment to Compassion award that recognizes individuals who extend consideration, kindness, and compassion in the broader community. Randa previously served as the Training and Development Leader and the Director of the Family Service and Learning Center at Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant. Randa earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and communication from Indiana State University, and her master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. She lives in Southern Indiana with her husband and teenage sons.
