Elizabeth Platt is the VP of Operations at Legal Science, LLC, a legal technology software company that supports researchers and policy advocates in better tracking and evaluation of the law. She currently manages the production of all legal datasets, including the Prescription Drug Abuse Policy System (PDAPS), a NIDA-funded resource for researchers covering various prescription drug abuse topics such as prescription drug monitoring programs and naloxone laws. She also leads the conceptualization of future projects, client relations, training, and project budgeting. She also contributed as a content expert and peer reviewer for the Opioid Epidemic issue of COMMONWEALTH, published in 2018.
Prior to joining Legal Science, Elizabeth was a senior legal research associate for the Center for Public Health Law Research at the Temple University Beasley School of Law. In this role, she worked with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, managing the analysis of state-level public health laws and regulations in Nebraska, producing dozens of datasets on over 2,300 points of law. While in law school, she worked as a research assistant for Professor William C. Banks and assisted with the update of Counterterrorism Law, Second Edition.
