Jay Chaudhary is a nationally-recognized expert in the use of Medical Legal Partnerships to aid in mental health and substance use disorder recovery. A 2009 graduate of the Indiana University Maurer school of Law, Chaudhary was the founding director of the award-winning Eskenazi Midtown Medical Legal Partnership in Indianapolis. Since 2017, he has been the Managing Attorney and Director of Medical Legal Partnerships for Indiana Legal Services in Indianapolis, IN. He is also an adjunct faculty member at the Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health. He is a member of the Legal Services Corporation Task Force on the Opioid crises, the vice-president of the Indiana Health Advocacy Coalition and the chair of the Indiana Protection and Advocacy Commission.
