Michele Farry holds a BA from Hampshire College with a special interest in addiction studies, public health and entrepreneurship. She is the assistant program coordinator for Hampshire HOPE, which serves a county-wide coalition addressing the opioid crisis based out of the City of Northampton, Massachusetts, Health Department. In this role Michele has been the lead on the research, planning and design for the opioid overdose database project driven in part by the programmatic dashboarding needs of the Drug Addiction and Recovery Team "DART". The DART program integrates cross-county first responders, harm reductionists and recovery coaches who support people and families of those at high risk or have experienced an overdose in the community. Michele has contributed to the DART program's expansion and development by organizing community partners in regional, cross-sector collaboration identifying community needs and key initiatives.
Michele has a background in program and project development with for-profit business, non-profit, public health education, needs assessment, patient rights and product development. During her career Michele has spent many years addressing health issues and chronic disease by striving to support people with complex care strategies that integrate multi-disciplinary approaches.
