The rate of drug intoxication deaths in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, is nearly double the national average. Addressing this epidemic has created challenges for law enforcement and led to the development of investigative and prosecutorial strategies designed to maximize the likelihood of a successful resolution. Through the use of real case examples, this session will show officers investigation techniques, such as arranging for controlled buys and interview strategies. Presenters also will discuss the role of technology in overdose death investigations.
