Marissa Braff, PhD, RAC, currently holds the position of Executive Director, Regulatory Affairs at Seattle Genetics overseeing late-stage oncology development programs. Prior to joining Seattle Genetics in October 2018, she spent over 11 years at Gilead Sciences in positions of increasing responsibility, initially as a Clinical Research Scientist supporting the Cayston (inhaled antibiotic for cystic fibrosis) development program and new drug application (NDA) and later as the global regulatory lead for a number of investigational and marketed products in the Oncology, Respiratory, and Inflammation therapeutic areas. Marissa holds a BA degree in Biology from Whitman College and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California, San Diego; she also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Seattle Children’s Research Institute.
Marissa is a member of the Seattle chapters of Women In Bio (WIB) and the Association for Women In Science (AWIS), and serves on the Whitman College President’s Advisory Board.
