This session will focus on location enablement of preparedness for and response to emergencies. The first part of the session will introduce a new tool created to provide efficiencies when conducting a local rapid health needs assessment (RHNA). This RHNA tool can be used to follow the CASPER methodology developed by the CDC. With modern technology, information can be gathered more accurately and provide more insights than ever before. The second part of the session will focus on how organizations can be more successful using their GIS technology. Among the 5 keys of success, we’ll pay special attention to best practices for developing a location strategy that facilitates immediate action when disaster strikes.
